These are the simple health habits that I implement into my daily life.
I do my best to be consistent because they make me feel healthy and on the right track.
The reason I can stick to these health habits is that they are broken down into tiny actionable tasks. I do not like to go overboard and make unrealistic habits. I make them so simple that it would be silly not to keep the habit.
Since these habits are easy to keep I see the results of doing them daily.
This post is all about healthy habits to practice daily.
Simple Health Habits:
1. Stay Hydrated
One of the healthy habits that I stick to every single day is drinking water. I always fill up a 72oz water bottle and carry it with me everywhere I go throughout the day.
This makes it so simple to keep this healthy habit because I always have water available to me. I drink water over soda or sugary juices.
I also add a packet of Nectar Hydration to my water when I feel dehydrated. This adds electrolytes and flavor to my water without sugar, chemicals, and sodium.
2. Read My Bible
Every morning I enjoy reading my bible to help me stay in alignment with my faith. I usually read a chapter a day and have found that this helps me absorb what I am reading.
I don’t have any rules about how long I read or how many pages. I read and try to absorb and implement what I learn from it.
This habit helps me with my mental and spiritual health.
3. Write Down My Goals
I have found it very helpful to write down my goals in my journal. I do this daily so that I can stay on track with where to focus my energy.
Some current goals that I write down are to write 1 blog post a week, take dogs for a walk each day, and pack my health lunch.
By writing these goals down daily I do them instead of just thinking about them. This has been very beneficial to taking action.
4. Take A Probiotic
Every day I take a probiotic to help with my digestion, immunity, women’s health, and overall well-being. I have found that these probiotics help me feel less bloated and regulate my bowel movement.
I am not huge on overdoing it with supplements, but adding a probiotic is one of the essential health habits that I am consistent with.
I have noticed the benefits and feel the positive effects on my health.
5. Workout For 10 Mins A Day
I used to be someone who was hardcore in the gym 7 days a week and eventually got burned out. That was when my goals were about fitness more than health.
Now I care about overall health more than anything. I have found that working out for at least 10 minutes a day is so easy that I know I will keep the habit. There are no excuses as to why we can’t set aside 10 minutes for our health.
Since this has been a habit for some time for me I usually workout longer but I always aim for at least 10 minutes.
I also have no rules about what workout I do. I do what I enjoy. Sometimes I use weights, booty bands, or just stick to my daily walk with my dogs.
6. Pack A Healthy Lunch
This habit is easy to keep because I usually eat leftover dinners for my lunch the next day. I like to make sure each meal has healthy fats, fiber, and protein.
I usually use Pinterest or a cookbook to find new healthy recipes. I store my leftovers in glass containers.
This makes eating health simple because I am always prepared.
7. Read A Book I Enjoy
This is a habit that I enjoy and see the benefits of. Reading has helped me learn so many new things.
It helps me keep my mind active and relaxes me in the evenings.
I recently got a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas and I love that I can have all my books in one device.
8. Work On A Passion/Hobby
I have found that life can get so busy that you don’t spend enough time working on your passions or creative ideas. I have wanted to start a blog and stick to it for so long but always made excuses.
Now I have made it a priority to work on my blog daily because I eventually want to work from home full-time.
Whether you have a hobby, passion, or idea you want to work on I think it is important to set aside time to do it consistently.
This is a newer healthy habit that I am putting my focus on. It brings joy to our lives to do these things.
9. Look Over Finances
It is a great habit to have to look over your finances daily and weekly. If you are not paying attention you may overspend or not set aside money for something you desire.
My current fiance habit is to tithe 10%, save 10%, put a small portion to my debt, and use the rest of my income for living expenses. By having habits for my finances I can easily set goals for my financial goals.
10. Take Time To Be Grateful
This may seem simple or over said but it is important to have the habit of being grateful.
I believe that your emotions and attitude about life are what make a great or negative experience in how you feel each day.
Ever since I have intentionally taken the time to focus on the good in my life I have found that it far outweighs the bad. Sometimes our minds want to fixate on the negative and we can get caught up in negative thought patterns.
Being grateful helps you focus on all the little things that add up to so much to be happy about.
